Preorders at birddogs: How They Work
Some of our most-wanted styles are available to preorder — which means you can reserve and pay for them now, and we'll ship them to you as soon as they arrive. It's the best way to lock in a style before it's gone.
How to tell if an item is a preorder
Preorder items are clearly marked so there are no surprises:
- The product photos say "Preorder."
- The product title starts with "PREORDER SHIPS [date]" and includes the expected ship week.
If you don't see those, the item is in stock and ships like any normal order.
When you'll be charged
You're charged in full when you place your order — not when it ships. This is what reserves your item and holds it for you. There's no separate charge later when your preorder ships.
When your preorder ships
Your preorder ships the week of its listed date (shown on the product and in the table below), as soon as it reaches our warehouse. What that looks like depends on what's in your order:
- Preorder items only — they ship together the week of their date. (If you added a free gift, it ships along with your preorder.)
- Preorder items + in-stock items — your in-stock items ship within the next few business days, as usual, and your preorder items follow on their listed ship week. You'll receive separate deliveries, and may notice more than one order number (one might have a "-PRE" added to it). No need to worry — it's still a single payment, just organized so your in-stock items don't have to wait.
- Preorder items with different ship dates — each ships the week of its own date, so you may receive them on different days.
